FloodMaster's FM-190 Wireless system can prevent extensive water damage when a washing machine fails, causing water leakage. This type of household damage is a common cause of costly insurance claims and deductibles. Such damages are more extensive with upstairs laundry rooms and apartments located above the ground floor.
The FM-190 is a complete system that is offered as a local alarm and with a connection to a home security system, if desired. Wireless sensor pucks allow for leak detection on multiple floors or living levels.
Benefits
Reduce risk of water damage with automatic water shutoff of both hot and cold water lines
Possible insurance discount
Easy installation
No wiring – just plug it in
cUL-approved power transformer; CE-approved actuator
Typical Installation
The FloodMaster FM-190 is most commonly installed in conjunction with a residential washing machine, between the hot and cold water faucets and the water line connections on the washer. Although the typical installation may have a manual shut-off lever (valve) for water flow shut-off that requires handson action, the FloodMaster provides automatic shut-off when leaking water comes in contact with the sensor. When the sensor is placed on the floor near or under the washer, the flow of water will be shut-off almost immediately to prevent extensive water damage.
See below for instructions on controlling pump or other motorized device using optional relay signal connection on back of unit. Be sure to consult local electrical codes to ensure compliance.
